This acrylic on canvas depicts spring in the valley of an old farmstead.
The barn in the background with the old fence posts around it, has been the focal
point of numerous works by the artist, because it was the view seen from her studio.
The blossoms are what are left of many old apple trees. This is what remained in
the rustic area known as "The Wedge" in the states bordering Pennsylvania and Delaware,
and very near MD, but the scene could be anywhere in this region in the beautiful
month of May.
