This painting depicts how this yard of the artist blooms around mid May. The flowers are a welcome sight and they often inspire the artist to paint “en plein air”. These lovely irises show the painterly movement and rhythmic style, which Wynn Breslin’s canvases are well known to contain. They seem to sway in the wind but yet still hold on strong from the good Terrapin Lane soil.
This acrylic is painted on canvas, with muted violet, green and blue dominating the work. The white daisies add perky accents to the piece. The painting evokes a feeling of intimacy in a garden and contentment therein.
