This painting depicts how this yard of the artist blooms around mid May. The flowers are a welcome sight and they often inspire the artist to paint “en plein air”. These lovely irises show the painterly movement and rhythmic style, which Wynn Breslin’s canvases are well known to contain. They seem to sway in the wind but yet still hold on strong from the good Terrapin Lane soil.
