Pemaquid Point, Maine, has long been a favorite site for the artist and the lighthouse has been the subject of her watercolors, oils and acrylics since first she climbed the rocks in the 1950’s. The total experience is one of exhilaration and awe and it shows in her paintings of this midcoast Maine treasured area.
The formations from the ice age are painted with bold brush strokes. The Lighthouse and the adjacent home for the keeper and the fire hose brick house are included also. Ledges are painted with a warm grey and the sea shows its emerald and cobalt blue tints.
