Watercolor on very rough “oatmeal” paper has been then enhanced by pen and India ink sketching when dry.
This is a very deep orange (cadmium red) and white grouping of poppies in a greenish blue background color. The vase holds a variety of poppies as a bouquet. It is a rhythmic composition with movement and texture by brushwork and the paper itself.
